Montgomery County is two counties wearing one name. Down-county, along the Metro lines, everything runs on public water. But drive up-county — into the Agricultural Reserve, out Route 28 through Poolesville and Dickerson, up 27 through Damascus, through the horse farms around Barnesville and Laytonsville — and the houses drink from wells. Montgomery's Agricultural Reserve set aside roughly a third of the county for farmland, which means no public water is coming — every farmhouse, estate and new build out here supplies itself. The ground is classic Maryland Piedmont: fractured rock where a well's depth and yield depend on the cracks the borehole crosses. We drill this ground constantly, and we know its habits — where wells tend to run deep, where the water carries iron, and what a good well out here looks like when it is finished.
Being based in Poolesville makes the practical parts easy. Estimates in the up-county happen fast, a no-water emergency gets a truck quickly, and small jobs are worth our trip because the trip is short. From Dickerson to Damascus, most of our Montgomery work is minutes from the shop.
